ISPS
MAST can ensure that your vessel is ISPS compliant. Our service includes a security assessment, drafting the ship security plan and arranging for its verification and implementation, and thereafter working to ensure that the yacht maintains standards through a combination of security audits and training. We ensure that the ISPS regime dovetails into your yacht’s existing security so you are not inconvenienced.
ISPS and ISM audits
We can conduct a periodic third party audit of your vessel or fleet to ensure standards are in accordance with international obligations, suggest recommendations and carry out remedial work so that your yacht operates within legislative guidelines.

Even though the ISPS code concerns security, the fact that it was introduced as part of SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea Convention) means that it becomes part of the implied warranty of seaworthiness in every Marine Voyage Hull Insurance Policy. It is possible that if your vessel is required to be ISPS compliant and you do not adhere to the standards required then your insurance could be deemed void, even if the loss is not security related. Security is therefore inextricably linked to the safety of the ship and its insurance.
Our people are trained as both ISM and ISPS Lead Auditors approved by the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency. We are therefore able to look at the safety as well as the security standards onboard.
